It was just another shiny night in Las Vegas. until flashing red and blue lights illuminated the streets.
“Step out of the car!” a Las Vegas Metro police officer growled.
Behind the wheel? None other than Floyd “Cashflow” Diaz — the 21-year-old boxing phenom who hadn’t experienced defeat in the ring.
Outside the ring? Another story altogether.
TMZ Sports is told by sources that Diaz was stopped after a LoJack alert on the vehicle he was driving — a stolen vehicle. When cops arrived, things went even more sinister.
“Is that. a gun?” one cop asked upon seeing a concealed weapon Diaz was not authorized to possess.
In a matter of minutes, the undefeated bantamweight fighter — 13-0 in the ring — was arrested and booked into Clark County Jail. His crimes?
Possession of a stolen motor vehicle
Concealed carrying of a weapon without a permit
Both are serious — Class C felonies — both of which can bring anywhere up to 5 years in jail and some substantial fines. His bail was set at $10,000 total.
Ironically, Diaz was living large a few months ago, basking in the glory of his win at Madison Square Garden against Mario Hernandez.
“Cashflow is the future!” fans had cheered at the time.
And now, the same fans are in shock when Diaz quietly faced a judge Friday morning, the courtroom thick with silence.
From the bright lights to a jail cell — the fall from glory can be faster than a knockout punch.
